Olena Linse is a Swiss artist, who grew up in a region shaped by diverse cultural influences. Her family heritage reflects Polish roots connected to the historical landscape of Eastern Europe before the Second World War. She began drawing at the age of fourteen and later studied urban planning, while continuing to develop and refine her artistic practice.

Linse’s work moves between figurative painting and ornamental abstraction. Working primarily in oil on canvas, her broader artistic practice often centers on the human figure. In these works she explores themes of identity, inner strength, and self-awareness, presenting idealized female figures shaped by memory and imagination rather than realistic likeness.

Alongside these figurative works, Linse has developed a distinctive series of paintings based on floral structures and ornamental compositions. In these works, natural motifs evolve into intricate mosaic-like patterns composed of countless small painted elements. Through rhythm, repetition, and vibrant color relationships, flowers transform into complex visual architectures that move between organic growth and abstraction.

After her first solo exhibition in 1998, Linse gained recognition in galleries across Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. In 2015, she joined Pashmin Art Consortia as an artist, leading to exhibitions in major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing, as well as in numerous venues across Europe, with further projects planned for 2026 and 2027.

The exhibition at Another Art Museum in Guangzhou presents seven floral and mosaic compositions, including Dalien, Indian Summer, Mirage, The Flower of Life, and Light Cone.

A significant milestone in her career was the publication of the bilingual (German and English) monograph Olena Linse – Labyrinth (Pashmin Art Publisher, 2025), edited by Nour Nouri and Dr. Davood Khazaie, which explores the philosophical, political, and feminist dimensions of her work.
