Mirsada Vejselaj was born in Peja, Kosovo, and has lived in Germany for 30 years. Based in Marburg, she has maintained her own studio there since 2017. She has been artistically active for 17 years, beginning with drawing before developing her primary expression through painting.

Working mainly with acrylic on canvas, Vejselaj combines paint with natural and structural materials such as sand and texture paste, creating tactile surfaces and pronounced depth. Over time, she has expanded her practice to include sculptural works and installations. Her self-taught artistic language is intuitive and moves between abstraction and organic forms.

At the center of her work is the relationship between color, light, nature, memory, and emotion. Her series Faded Memories explores the fragility and incompleteness of recollection through layered forms and dissolving impressions. In the Breath of the Earth reflects on transformation, geological processes, and cycles of time, while Concentration & Resonance focuses on energy, vibration, and movement through reduced forms and dripping techniques.

Vejselaj’s works have been shown in regional exhibitions and are held in private collections across Europe. Her art invites personal interpretation, creating spaces shaped by atmosphere, materiality, emotional resonance, and a continuous dialogue between inner experience and the natural world.

Mirsada Vejselaj
