Cornelia B. Bienz has been engaged with photography since her school years, beginning with analog photography and darkroom work. After several years working as a flight attendant, she rediscovered her passion for artistic photography in 2015 through the course “ZEN Fotokunst – Designing Emptiness.”

She completed her studies at the European Photography Academy in Rastatt, focusing on photography and image editing, and further deepened her practice in the project workshop. Her work is characterized by a combination of macro, ZEN, and—especially over the past two years—Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) photography. Inspired by painters such as William J. Turner and Claude Monet, she creates gestural camera movement images that reveal not the visible world but its emotional essence.

Her preferred photographic approach avoids digital effects, relying solely on the camera, ND filters, and minimal digital post-processing. The resulting images evoke a dreamy, almost magical visual world that invites viewers to pause and reflect.

Cornelia B. Bienz has exhibited her work in numerous national and international exhibitions, including photoSCHWEIZ (Zürich), Swiss Art Expo (Zürich), Expo Metro (New York, Amsterdam, Milan), and long-term exhibitions in Italy. She is the recipient of several international art awards, including “Artists of the Jubilee” and “Artists of the Year 2025” (Effetto Arte Fondazione). Her work has also been featured in collaborative publications and art books.
