Born in Hamburg in 1965 and based in Ahrensburg, Andreas Peters is a German artist, photographer, and author. Largely self-taught, he has been engaged in photography, drawing, painting, writing, and digital media since his youth. Extensive travels throughout Asia and the Americas, including research for his philosophical travel book, have broadened his visual and cultural perspective.
Peters developed Abstract Organic Macro Art (AOMA), a photographic approach that brings the sensibility of painting into macro photography. He combines organic materials with carefully controlled light to create intense fields of colour, texture, and depth. Produced out of camera without digital effects or artificial intelligence, his images transform minute natural structures into open, atmospheric worlds of discovery.
Recent international presentations include ArtExpo Basel and Cipriarte in Venice (2024), Andakulova Gallery in Dubai and the Luxembourg Art Fair, as well as art3f in Paris and Brussels (2025). In 2026, his work appeared at the Affordable Art Fair London and Toolip Art Gallery Vienna. A presentation at Hong Art Museum in Chongqing is scheduled for December 2026 to March 2027.
