(Germany)
(德國)
Konrad Henker, born in Weimar, Germany, in 1979, is an artist whose work focuses intensively on mountain landscapes and the connection between nature, history, and culture. Through his travels to various mountain regions, including the Ötztal Alps, Rätikon, Stubai Alps, and Lofoten Islands, Henker has developed a unique perspective on the beauty and interplay of nature and human history.
Henker studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, where he refined his artistic technique under the guidance of renowned professors such as Elke Hopfe, Siegfried Klotz, and Wolfram Hänsch. His works have gained international recognition and have been exhibited in important institutions such as the Lindenau Museum in Altenburg, the New Saxon Gallery in Chemnitz, and the Art Collections in Dresden.
Henker has received numerous awards, including scholarships from the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony and the Saxon Cultural Foundation. In his works, he combines landscapes with symbolic elements that reflect the tension between tradition and contemporary interpretation.
His art remains an important contribution to the discussion about the role of nature in modern art. It reveals the emotional depth that arises from the interaction of nature, history, and personal experience.
