Jenet Bonishi was born in western Belarus, into a traditional Polish Catholic family. From an early age, her world was shaped by the visual culture of Western Christianity, history, and classical art. As she grew older, she also discovered the dynamic culture of rock music, alongside the works of renowned photographers such as Anton Corbijn, Jim Wright, Lord Snowdon, Rankin, and others from the fashion industry.

Since 2009, Jenet has worked as a journalist, producing a wide array of reports and portraits. She pursued studies in art and photography at university, integrated into her journalism program. For the past seven years, she has collaborated closely with leading music labels and fashion publications, capturing images of musicians, artists, cultural figures, as well as both professional and non-professional models. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed combining traditional techniques with modern technology in her photographic work. Her images are featured in a variety of projects, including posters, music album covers, books, and magazines.

In 2025, her work will be featured in an exhibition at the Hong Art Museum in Chongqing, where she will present a series of surreal and captivating portraits, blending classical photography with contemporary digital manipulation. These pieces reflect her ongoing dialogue with cultural and artistic traditions, from Western Christianity to the modern fashion world.

Jenet’s artistic journey also includes notable exhibitions, such as her participation in the 2012 exhibition of young visual artists in Minsk, followed by her involvement in the 2013 exhibition of young photo artists and journalists at BSU
