Hubert
Brandstätter
(Austria)
(奥地利)
Hubert Brandstätter, a distinguished artist from Weiz, Austria, has built a significant career spanning several decades. His work is primarily centered around experimental techniques, exploring the intersection of abstraction, human perception, and the emotional depth of life’s fleeting nature. Known for his involvement with the Kunstschule KO, Brandstätter has played a pivotal role in promoting art education, offering diverse programs such as “Open Space – Freies Gestalten” and specialized seminars that encourage the use of unconventional materials like ash, soot, and natural pigments.
Brandstätter’s exhibitions date back to 1994, with notable solo and group showcases across Europe and beyond. His early exhibitions included venues such as VA TECH/ELIN in Vienna and the Galerie Topolnik in Deutschlandberg. Over the years, his works have been featured in various prestigious galleries and cultural centers, including Kunsthalle Ajka in Hungary, Galerie Prall in Laßnitzhöhe, and Kunsthaus Weiz in his hometown, as well as international showcases in Italy, Poland, and Chicago. These exhibitions demonstrate his extensive reach and his dedication to bridging local and global art scenes. In the following years, Brandstätter’s works have been displayed in major cultural hubs such as Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej in Gliwice, Poland, and Kunsthaus Felbach in Austria, as well as participation in events like Steirischer Herbst in Weiz.
In his more recent works, Brandstätter continues to explore thematic and material experimentation, often addressing the philosophical underpinnings of contemporary art. His exhibitions, including “Made In Austria” and “Syrian Art Goes Italy”, reflect his dynamic approach to art while fostering cultural exchanges through international collaborations.
Brandstätter’s work is held in several public collections, including the Land Steiermark, Stadtgemeinde Weiz, and the Kunsthaus Weiz, cementing his role as a respected figure in Austrian and international art circles.
