Sabrina Vivian Groh, born on September 3, 1984, in Zwickau, Germany, is a contemporary artist specializing in textile art, drawing, and memory.

She holds a Master of Arts (2020) and a Bachelor of Arts (2019) in Textile Art and Design from the Academy of Fine Arts Schneeberg, where she studied under Prof. Jörg Steinbach. Previously, she studied graphic arts at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design (2008-2015).

Groh’s work engages with materials such as waxed paper, gauze, embroidery, and perforation, exploring themes of fragmentation, time, and perception. Her pieces address what remains when history, the body, or language vanish, drawing on poetic and biblical texts. Her works are intuitive and sensory, inviting responses rather than linear narratives.

She has received several awards, including the Mentor Prize of the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (2022) and a nomination for the German Design Award (2020). (2024) and Zwischenwelten (2021). Groh has also participated in group exhibitions in Germany and internationally, with works in collections such as the Klingspor Museum Offenbach.
