Martin Günter Müller was born on November 24, 1969, in Grafenau, in the picturesque Bavarian Forest. From an early age, he developed a deep ambivalence between the desire for freedom and the need for security. The feeling of safety and comfort mixed with a profound curiosity about the “other,” the unknown and distant.
After completing his high school diploma in 1989, Müller embarked on a journey across Europe, traveling to Yugoslavia, Greece, Romania, England, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. These travels not only shaped his worldview but also played a significant role in his artistic development. He abandoned his studies in sociology at LMU Munich to dedicate himself more fully to art. He later studied at the Free Art Workshop Munich and graduated with a diploma under Prof. Hans Seeger.
Today, Martin Günter Müller lives with his family in Gröbenzell. His works have been showcased in numerous exhibitions, including in Gröbenzell, Munich, Höhenried, Seefeld, Wroclaw, Athens, Montreal, Paris, and his hometown of Grafenau.
